Bill starts of with a brief introduction to what the book has to offer and also the advantages of having your own chickens. The eggs are the obvious bonus, but not so obvious maybe is the fact that chickens are a great re-cycler of unwanted foodstuffs, and also the fact that the manure can be used to fertilize the garden.

He continues with a brief intro to the chicken coop plans book itself and what it aims to achieve in terms of proper building techniques, positioning the coop and the perches etc. He points out that this is NOT a difficult job even for the DIY amateur, and that anyone with the most basic of skills can build a superb Chicken coop just by following his easy-step plans in building a chicken coop and following good Chicken coop plans from the beginning.

My Assesment

Well I think that you would probably have guessed by now that I like the project – Why else would I have included a link to it here. So I’m not going to give you a whole load of Bull about how your life would be an  empty shell  without this book etc etc 

Can you live without it ? Yes of course you can, and if you feel confident about building a chicken coop without the need for proper Chicken Coop plans, go for it !

Simply put; Building a chicken coop ‘does what it says on the tin’ It is a great selection of ready-made Chicken Coop Plans, with some good advice on not just building the coop but also on the requirements for rearing chickens successfully and achieving a great harvest of eggs from happy chickens.

To be honest, even I have gotten a few good ideas which I hope to be implementing soon – I may even post a few pics of my achievements, and let you be the judge !
